Pad Printing...

Pad Printing is a low cost, effective way to mark products with your logo/message. By using high quality, medical grade inks, the final product is a long lasting mark that will withstand a dishwasher cycle over and over again.

Pad printing is accomplished by using a silicone based pad to transfer ink from the printing cliche to the product to be marked. There are mulitple steps involved in the pad printing process. First a printing cliche is created using the desired artwork and size. During the creation of this printing plate, the products to be printed are pretreated to ensure ink adhesion. Once all the products are pretreated and the cliche is made, ink is matched and mixed to the desired imprint color and then set into the printing machine. After marking is completed, the fresh ink on the product is passed under ultraviolet lighting to aide in drying and curing of the inks. The final step is to package and ship the finished product in the configuration and shipping method to meet your needs.

Laser Engraving...

Laser engraving is an excellent way to add a touch of elegance to your product. Engraving is a permanent marking created by utilizing a laser beam to burn the desired logo into wood products or make high contrasting black marks on steel.

Marking products with the laser engraver begins with artwork. Our art department ensures every piece of artwork is exactly right to ensure the desired mark is achieved. Many times this will include recreating the logo in a vector format to ensure each and every edge is smooth. Then an artwork proof is created and sent to the customer to ensure that the artwork and placement on the product is exactly as they desire.

Once the artwork is approved, the digital artwork is then sent to the laser engraving machine. The machine then begins to focus an intense laser beam on the product. This laser beam obliterates/burns the surface of the material to the required depth to create a the finished product. With steel, a special marking compound is sprayed on the metal, which contains color pigments and glass frits. The laser beam heats the glass frits to their melting point, which encases the color pigment. This yields a high contrast, permanent marking.
